Forging Components

During the forging process, hot metal pieces are shaped between a top die that is attached to a ram and a bottom die that is attached to a hammer, anvil, or bolster. Open Die Forging Parts, often referred to as free forging or smith forging, is the action of hitting a hammer to a metal object that is usually set onto a stationary anvil in order to distort it. Another strategy is to push the metal between straightforward dies using compression. These straightforward dies often have a flat, semi-round, or V form.
